In 1963, Ernesto Z. Medina, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and graduate of Bachelor of Laws, was hired as regular AGENT of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) of the Department of Justice of the Philippines.
During his stint in the NBI, from 1963 to 1969, he mastered the art of investigation and security trainings and became member of NBI Shooting Team, and one of the Philippine Shooters and Bronze Medalist in the 1st Asian Shooting Championship in Tokyo, Japan in 1967.
During his stay in the NBI, he saw and witnessed that investigation for unfaithful spouses, personal background investigation, infidelity cases, insurance fraud, process serving, and other quasi-delict crimes were handled by moonlighting military and police personnels and the Indian (Bombay) Security Guards.
Private investigation and investigation of quasi-delict crimes are full time professional jobs.
Seeing the need for a full time and well trained private investigators, he resigned from the NBI in 1969 and organized several security and investigation agencies, first and foremost were the Confidential Investigation and Security Agency (CISS) and the Asiadetectives, Inc. and several support service corporations.
So many clients came from abroad particularly from United State of America, Arab Countries, Europe and Asian Countries.
To fit the international demand, Ernesto Z. Medina reorganized his detective agency into Worldasia Detectives, Inc. and secured its licensed under Republic Act 5487, from the Philippine National Police Supervisory Office for Security and Detective Agencies (PNP-SOSIA) in Camp Crame, Quezon City, Philippines.
Its management staffs were complemented by former NBI Agents Ernesto Z. Medina and Errol M. Medina, Atty. Crisostomo F. Balancio, a retired NBI Regional Director and Atty. Gerry T. Maglaya, a retired NBI Supervising Agent.
From their offices in Makati City and Taytay Rizal, Wordasia Detectives, Inc.moved in 1992 to its office in EZM (Ernesto Z. Medina) Building in 37 Apo Street, Barangay Barangka-Ilaya, Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila, Philippines.
PNP-SOSIA issued License to Operate No. PDA-T-14-00203 to Worldasia Detectives, Inc. to handle all kinds of investigation and security services for their clients from the Philippines and abroad.
The men and women working in Worldasia Detectives, Inc. are graduates of Bachelor of Science in Criminology, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Bachelor of Laws and many more Investigation and Security Courses in the Philippines and abroad, and experienced former and retired NBI, Police and Military experts in investigation and security professions.
